Every US state has a place which is at a higher elevation than anywhere else in that state. Sometimes it’s the highest peak on a mountain that provides sweeping views of the surrounding area and in others its on a small hill in the suburbs that is rather uneventful. Accessing these high points is also all over map so to speak. In some cases you can easily drive to the highest point while others require a lengthy multi-day hike.
